I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
